Greedy Bear Joins cos for pre-season sponsor

Thirty fighters. One arena. Zero idea how it would land.

That was the bet Clash of Steel made on 14 June at Liberty Hall, Moore Park, when we ran our first ever pre-season event and put the format in front of a Sydney crowd for the very first time. No prior data on ticket demand, no history to point to, just full steel armour, a 10-point scoring system built to feel like boxing, and thirty fighters willing to find out if this sport could hold a room.

It held the room. And we didn't do it alone.

We're proud to announce Greedy Bear Modern Mead came on board as a sponsor for the night, backing the pre-season event before anyone outside our own corner knew if it would work. That's the kind of sponsor worth talking about. Not one who shows up once the crowd is already proven, but one who backs the thing while it's still being built.

Why the pre-season mattered

Season 1 launches in October, touring NSW. Before we could take this format on the road, we needed to know it worked in a room. Thirty fighters across [X] bouts gave us exactly that. Real strikes, real judging, three 90-second rounds a fight, and a crowd finding out in real time what pro fighting actually looks like.

[Placeholder paragraph, one or two sentences on a standout moment from the night, a bout, a knockdown, a crowd reaction, whatever footage or feedback backs it up.]

Greedy Bear Modern Mead was pouring for that crowd all night, and the response from fighters and fans alike made it clear this partnership is one we want to build on through Season 1.

What's next

With the format tested and the Sydney crowd sold, Season 1 kicks off in October, touring venues across NSW. Greedy Bear Modern Mead will be with us as we take Clash of Steel on the road, and we'll have more to share on that partnership as the season calendar locks in.
